About Us

Trained at Palomar College in San Marcos, California, owner Michael Mata started his career in printing at a shop in downtown Encinitas. He learned the print business quickly and then moved on to work in the City Of Industry at the largest box board printer on the west coast, who printed high quality cosmetic and pharmaceutical boxes.

In 1990, Michael decided to return to the small print shop environment.  He wanted to work personally with businesses to provide them with quality print work and fantastic customer service.
He found a building in the city of La Verne, a great small town with many local businesses who could use his services.

It's in La Verne that he met his beautiful wife and her kids.  They bought a craftsman home in Old Town La Verne, only four blocks from the shop.

Performance Print has been in the same building since day one. Michael has worked with many large and small businesses in and around the area, going as far south as San Diego.

Michael works hard to provide quality printing at competive prices with service being the highest priority.  He wants to be the shop that handles all the printing needs for your business.
